Michiko Yoshifuji is a licensed acupuncturist in New York and New Jersey and Diplomate in Acupuncture in New York and is nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Michiko is trained in three styles of acupuncture: TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), APM (Acupuncture Physical Medicine with trigger point technique), and Kiiko Matsumoto (Systematic Japanese style). She integrates all three methods to best cater to patients' conditions. She also often combines other modalities, including electroacupuncture, auricular acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, body and energy work, as well as nutrition and lifestyle counseling. The conditions she treats include but not limited to pain, depression, anxiety, stress, chronic disease, digestive disorders, neurological disorder, and women’s health. Michiko is certified in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and trained with Zero Balancing I and II, Reiki, Tuina, and Anma massage, as well as Neurofunctional Acupuncture, treating musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction with contemporary acupuncture. She is passionate about offering patient-centered care to improve the conditions and quality of life of each patient. With every session, Michiko views the person as a whole and treats every patient with mindful care and compassion. Michiko continues her studies of medicine with a passion for increasing the store of knowledge to serve patients better and produce positive results. She is obtaining a Doctor of Acupuncture (DAc) at Pacific College of Health and Science. She is a member of ASNY (Acupuncture Society of New York), ASA (American Society of Acupuncturists), and AWB (Acupuncturists Without Borders). She is also a certified Holistic Health Counselor, a certified Japanese Calligraphy Instructor, and a writer.
